Donations for RCHT Treliske Special Care Baby Unit

We’re happy to confirm that we are once again accepting hand knitted and crochet donations on behalf of Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske Special Care Baby Unit.
There are no restrictions on items – hats, booties, mittens, jumpers, cardigans etc are all welcomed. However, once the donations have been passed to the unit, RCHT reserves the right to sell any items that are surplus to requirements. The income from any items sold will go back to the baby unit.
PLEASE NOTE: All items must be made in either premature or newborn sizes. Please avoid knitting anything lacey and ensure crochet items achieve a ‘tight’ texture – so tiny fingers and toes don’t get caught.
If you wish to get involved and make items to support the unit, take a look at some of the free patterns we’ve included below for inspiration. We can gladly help you find more patterns and suitable yarn here at the shop, or you can browse our Baby Patterns, Double Knit and 4 Ply yarns here on our website. Once you’ve finished your makes, you can pop them into the shop during opening hours (Monday-Saturday 9:30am-4:30pm) or post them to us using the following address:
