How to Brioche Knit – 03.05.25

HOW TO BRIOCHE KNIT WORKSHOP
Saturday 3rd May 2025, 1.30-4.30pm

The Brioche knitting technique creates a two-layered fabric that has a soft, lofty and super squishy feel. It is reversible and is a useful and versatile technique that can be used for all kinds of projects and garments.

During this 3-hour session, your experienced tutor, Julie Cowan, will teach you the basic principles of Brioche Knitting using two yarns. Step-by-step you will learn both the Brioche knit and purl stitches and will achieve the ‘super squishy’ rib that Brioche is famed for. 

Included:

• 1 x 3-hour workshop session

Techniques covered: 

• Brioche knit stitch
• Brioche purl stitch

Skill Level:

• Novice/Intermediate (participants should be able to knit and purl with reasonable confidence)

Location: 

• Workshop Studio, Truro Wool, St Mary’s Street, Truro TR1 2AF

Material Requirements: 

•  4mm double pointed needles or 4mm circular needle
• 2 balls of contrasting shades of Double Knitting yarn

Age Requirement:

• Minimum 12 years

Maximum Participants:

• This workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 participants

Cancellation Policy:

• If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend a workshop you have booked, please let us know as soon as possible. A 90% refund will be given if the cancellation is made more than 28 days in advance of the start of your workshop (10% is required to cover administrative costs incurred). Unfortunately, no refund can be given on cancellations made within 28 days of the start of the workshop, however, we would be willing to swap your booking over to another name, should you have a friend or family member that would wish to attend in your place.
• Very rarely circumstances beyond our control may mean that workshops must be cancelled. Should this happen, the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded.
