Mastering How to Knit in the Round
Thursday 22nd May 2025 – 6-9pm

From hats to top-down sweaters knitting in the round is a key technique which is becoming ever more popular. In this workshop your tutor Julie Cowan will show you 4 different methods for knitting in the round: point to point, double pointed needles (dpn’s), magic loop and 2 circular needle chasing. Each method has it’s benefits, with some being more flexible than others and these will be discussed in the session along with when each method is appropriate.

During the workshop you will make a small bobble hat implementing all 4 techniques taught. Working in the round is simple and does not need endless pairs of circular needles, save time and money with Julie’s expert advice and tips.

Included:

• 1x 3 hour workshop
• Practice yarn and needles supplied for those attending
• Printed pattern

• 2 Circular ‘chasing method’

Skill Level:

• Novice/Intermediate – should be able to cast on, knit and purl with confidence

Age Requirement:

• Minimum 12 years

Maximum Participants:

• This workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 participants

Cancellation Policy:

• If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend a workshop you have booked, please let us know as soon as possible.
  A 90% refund will be given if the cancellation is made more than 28 days in advance of the start of your workshop (10% is required to cover administrative costs incurred). Unfortunately, no refund can be given on cancellations made within 28 days of the start of the workshop, however, we would be willing to swap your booking over to another name, should you have a friend or family member that would wish to attend in your place.
• Please be advised that if you miss one of the parts of this course, we cannot offer a catch-up session, however, please speak to us about booking a 1-2-1 session as we will, of course, do our best to assist you.
• Very rarely circumstances beyond our control may mean that workshops must be cancelled. Should this happen, the cost of your workshop will be fully refunded.
