Weaving Houndstooth – Technique Workshop
09:30-16:30, Sunday 25th May 2025
This workshop is perfect for novice/intermediate weavers looking to master the art of Weaving Houndstooth.
Over the course of the day, Truro Wool’s expert tutor and experienced weaver, Julie Cowan, will guide you through every step needed to create either two or three colour Houndstooth fabric using a Rigid Heddle Loom. Understanding that some participants may have their own loom, there are two price-points for this workshop, one if you wish to bring and use your own loom, and one if you wish to use one of Truro Wool’s looms.
By the end of the session you will have made a piece of Houndstooth fabric that will be approx 25cm wide. The maximum length you could achieve for your fabric will be 1.8 meters dependent upon the speed of your weaving.
