Dorset buttons are a traditional handmade button that originated in the English county of Dorset, dating back to the 1600s. These delicate and intricate buttons are crafted by wrapping fabric, embroidery thread, or yarn around a circular base using time-honoured techniques. In this three-hour workshop, expert tutor Julie Cowan will guide you through each step and technique, helping you create your own beautiful, handcrafted buttons – the perfect finishing touch for your handmade projects.
