Join Lucy Thomas, Silversmith and founder of The Canny Goose, for a workshop designed exclusively for our 2025 Retreat participants.
In this enjoyable hands-on fine silver workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own fine silver stitch markers using Silver Metal Clay—a remarkable material that delivers stunning results with ease.
After an introduction to silver clay and a live demonstration, you’ll dive into the creative process. You can design your stitch markers using pre-made textures and moulds or create your own custom moulds on the day. By the end of the session, you’ll have up to three fine silver stitch markers to take home—a unique and personal memento of a truly creative and fun weekend of making!
All materials are included in the price, including fine silver metal clay, jump rings, fastenings, and optional embeddable gemstones. You’ll have all the tools needed to created your stitch markers at your disposal, and Lucy on-hand throughout to help and guide you through this fantastic method of silversmithing.
Price:
- Cost: £70.00
- £20.00 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place. The balance of £50.00 will be payable directly to The Canny Goose on the day of the workshop.

Cancellation Policy:
- If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend a workshop you have booked, please let us know as soon as possible.
- The £20.00 deposit paid is non-refundable and is used to cover administrative costs incurred.
- This workshop requires a minimum of 4 participants to run.
- Should circumstances beyond our control mean that workshops must be cancelled, your deposit will be fully refunded.
